Hi! I'm Raeesa :)
A millennial unlearning life's traditional ways to live a better and simpler life.
I'm a pharmacist by degree, a manufacturing manager by experience and a creator by passion. I love music, adventuring, trying new things, creating delicious meals, capturing moments in video and experiencing culture in travels. I find immense joy in the small things in life such as my morning coffee, watching the sun rise and cooking my own meals. I am passionate about mental well-being and an advocate for living holistically.
Growing up, there was always one consistency to everything I’ve done - and that was to be simple. Simple in the quantity of clothing and the type of technology I owned, simple in the foods I ate; and as I grew older, simplicity in the way I lived.
A Simple Life was created to share that energy with the world. From lifestyle, to foods, holistic well-being, planning and living life one day at a time. Everyone's simple is different and this is my version of it.
It’s how One Day at a Time was born. As a lover of stationery, I struggled to find planners and diaries that worked for me throughout school, university and in a corporate role. So I decided to create my own range. A range that emphasised my go to philosophy to have big goals and dreams, but to take things one day at a time.
One of my other passions is nutrition. I am incredibly passionate about food security and since becoming vegetarian back in 2018 - struggling to find good recipes - I've developed a love for curating affordable, simple and nutritious meals over the years. I share some of those meals on the website too. They're not all - but it's a work in progress!
A Simple Life is about holistic well-being and all products are curated with your well-being in mind. We only have one life and one body to look after. To me, well-being is not just whether you're physically and mentally in a state of good health. It's a journey of self-discovery, self-awareness and self-love. It's finding your unique way of managing stress. It's the foods you eat for the love of your mind, body and soul (nutritious and not so nutritious). It's who you surround yourself with. It's finding contentment in life.
Thank you for visiting this site. I hope you find peace in your everyday life.
